Contextual Advertisements - Earn From Your Blog for Free

- By: Ellaine Murillo, 2008-07-28

Since the launch of Adsense, at first people were skeptical if this particular advertising channel will work. Now it has proven to work for a lot of people, may it be experienced webmasters or just plain bloggers. Because of the success of Adsense, it has been a little bit easier to make money online without poking a hole youy pocket. These are totally free on the site of the publishers and very affordable for advertisers.

The web has been an effective advertising channel since the growth of the internet. A lot of people now are becoming aware and connected. This gives a huge opportunity for advertisers and business to reach a wide range of customers through the internet and a very convenient and cost effective way at that.

When Adsense became popular, there were a lot of companies that ventured into this as well. They are called contextual advertisers. They simply do what Adsense does and sometimes even better. You just have to shop around and see which is best for you and your site. As an advertiser, you can reach tons of customers around the globe without even spending for a plane ticket.

Making money online has been popular and it has never been this easy if you know your way around. Contextual ads like Adsense is one of the ways to start from if you wish to earn money online. But this is not easy, it's just a little easier from before since it's free for publishers. You post Adsense ads on your page and you get paid a commission for every unique click it gets.

There are tips to optimize your Adsense revenues to make money online. These are simple steps that anyone who can read will be able to apply.

Blogs are becoming popular nowadays and what a great way to start making money online without the cost. It's simple to setup and very easy to navigate. You can take this as your online journal and you just update the page if you want to. This is also an easy way to integrate Adsense, Adbrite or any contextual adverters you may choose.

Two of the advertisers that I use on my blogs are Adsense and Adbrite. I started using Adsense before Adbrite and the earnings are different per click. The interesting thing is that my Adbrite earnings have already surpassed my Adsense earnings considering that I started Adsense first. I checked around the internet on people using both and it came to me that some advertising sites are much more effective that others in a given topic or niche. So you may want to try out which one is best for your site.

I can also say that there is a difference between the two advertisers mentioned. Adsense offers banner and text advertisements while Adbrite offers a little more with its whole page advertisements and in line text advertisements. This is probably also one reason why I get more earnings with Adbrite than Adsense. So far I have tried and monitored these two sites. If you wish to sign up and try Adbrite you can register by going to my blog.

There are other contextual advertisers you can choose from. One that I came across was Matched. They pay you not per click but a fixed rate per month just for showing their ads on your site. How good can that be? You just sign up with them for free and then submit your sites and its pages and then just wait to get approved. You'll get your ad codes after this. You can earn as much as 150pounds for this. You can add up to 3 sites and 5 pages each for those sites. So why don't you try them out. Register at Matched for free on my blog.

Another similar service that pays per month and not per click is Money4banners. You can sign up as a publisher for free and have your site approved. They approve sites easily so give it a try. You can register for free on my blog.

If you wish to monetize your blog or your site further and try everything that is free then you can go and register at Bidvertiser. This is a pay per click advertising site and you can also earn through referrals. You can register for free on my blog.
